Give Me Shelter draws inspiration from the front lines of homelessness because nothing resonates like the truth well told.
As such, this revolutionary series will be written by a collaboration of WGA writers and local talent, including New Horizons residents—all shepherded by a team of top DGA and PGA professionals.
Jonathan Keasey – Co-Creator & Producer
Jonathan Keasey is a member of the prestigious Writers Guild of America and has been hired to write films for Columbia Pictures, Sony Studios, and Paramount Pictures. Internationally, Jonathan has penned features for China’s Fundamental Media, Zheijang TV, Germany’s Telepool GmbH and Universal. For his work, Jonathan was recently voted onto Hollywood’s “Young and Hungry” list by industry insiders.
Raymond Power – Actor, Writer
Former inmate, gang member, and substance addict. Resident 2019 Dream Scholar and current president of the Pierce College Student Body Government.
Father of five, Raymond has always dreamed of being an actor.
Jeremy J. Dodd – Co-Creator & Writer
Award-winning writer, director, and producer in the advertising and technology industries. As a creative director at Microsoft, his responsibility is to articulate the company’s vision for the role of artificial intelligence in people’s lives. Jeremy spent 10 years in the advertising industry running his own agency and producing national and regional campaigns for clients such as Boeing, Behr Paint, Virginia Mason Hospital, and many others.
Maven Gardner – Writer & New Horizons Resident

Community advocate for organizations like Mockingbird Society and New Horizons Ministries that support youth experiencing homelessness. They are the 2016/17 Seattle Youth Poet Laureate, and author of the poetry collection Blood Melody, released by Penmanship Books.
Felice Davis – Social and Criminal Justice Community Leader & Show Consultant
Felice Davis spent almost 15 years working for the Department of Corrections where she last worked as the Associate Superintendent of Programs at the Washington Corrections Center for Women. Davis is a committed leader and advocate, and passionate about serving at risk and marginalized populations.
She is currently the vice-chair of the University of Washington, Tacoma- School of Social Work and Criminal Justice and serves on the board of sexual assault center of Pierce County.
Josh Taft – Director
Award-winning Seattle-based director who began his career directing music videos for Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Tribe Called Quest, and others. He’s also an accomplished documentarian, traveling to over 60 countries to shoot films such as the heart-wrenching “Alive & Well,” about Huntington’s Disease, and the moving surfer biopic, “Andy Irons: Kissed By God.”
Rob Stewart – Executive Director, New Horizons & Show Consultant
Exec Director and founder of New Horizons Ministries, a shelter that connects young people to resources they need to exit street life through basic services and positive relationships.
